Downtown Frederick is accessible by rail, air and road. The directions below have been adapted from the Frederick County Tourism Council - www.fredericktourism.org/directions.html#.
- By Rail: Maryland Rail Commuter (MARC) connects Frederick to Baltimore and Washington. From AMTRAK’s Baltimore and Washington stations, MARC rail will transport you to our three stations in Brunswick, Downtown Frederick, or Point of Rocks.
- By Road: Major highways that access the county are I-70, I-270, US 15, US 40, US 40A, and US 340. Frederick County's highway network makes the county easily accessible by automobile and motor coach. Greyhound Bus has a terminal in Downtown Frederick.
- From Baltimore, New York, and Philadelphia
Route I-70 West from Baltimore-Annapolis to Frederick. Take Exit 54 (MD Rt. 355 - Market Street). Make a left on Market Street. Market Street will lead you directly into Downtown Frederick. Take a right onto Church Street to visit Everedy Square/Shab Row. To visit the Patrick Street merchants, take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street.
- From Pittsburgh and Western Maryland
Route I-70 East from Hagerstown-Cumberland-Oakland to Frederick. Take Exit 54 (MD Rt. 355 - Market Street). Make a left on Market Street. Market Street will lead you directly into Downtown Frederick. Take a right onto Church Street to visit Everedy Square/Shab Row. To visit the Patrick Street merchants, take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street.
- From Washington, DC and points south
Route I-270 North from Washington, D.C. to Frederick. Take Exit 31A (MD Rt. 85 - Buckeystown Pike). Make a left on to Rt. 355, which becomes Market Street. Take a right onto Church Street to visit Everedy Square/Shab Row. To visit the Patrick Street merchants, take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street.
- From Central Pennsylvania
Route 15 South from Pennsylvania to Frederick. Merge onto MD-144 via Exit 13A. Turn left onto MD-355 N/S Market Street. Take a right onto Church Street to visit Everedy Square/Shab Row. To visit the Patrick Street merchants, take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street.
- From Southwestern Virginia, and Leesburg
Route 15 North/340 East from Virginia to Frederick. As you enter Frederick City continue straight through to South Street and make a right onto South Street. Follow South Street, staying in the left lane, through 2nd light, and make a left onto Market Street. Take a right onto Church Street to visit Everedy Square/Shab Row. To visit the Patrick Street merchants, take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street.

Downtown Frederick's parking options include four parking decks and surface parking lots. On-street metered parking also is available throughout downtown. Don't forget -- On street parking is FREE every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Deck parking is FREE every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Chrismas until 6PM - you pay $1 after 6PM. On the day after Thanksgiving - Frosty Friday - on street parknig is free and deck parking is free until 6PM and $1 after 6PM. Sundays are always FREE - year-round. When no cashier is on duty (Saturdays and weekdays after 9PM), you will need a one dollar bill to exit the parking deck. Parking Decks
- Court Street Deck - located at 2 S. Court St.
- Use for S. Market, W. Patrick, and the 0-99 block of N. Market
- Directions to S. Court St. entrance: From Market Street – Make left on W. Patrick Street. Make left on S. Court St. and left into parking garage.
- Directions to Citizens Way entrance: From Market Street – Make left onto Citizens Way, and right into parking garage.
- Carroll Creek Deck - located next to C. Burr Artz Library
- Use for E. Patrick and the 0-99 block of N. Market
- Directions to entrance near 1st block of S. Market St.: From Market Street – Make right onto Carroll Creek Way. Turn left into the parking garage.
- Directions to entrance near 1st block of E. Patrick St.: From Market Street – Take a right onto Church, take a right onto East and then a right onto Patrick Street. Pass Maxwell Alley, and make immediate left onto next alley, then continue straight into the garage.
- Church Street Deck - located at 17 E. Church
- Use for N. Market Street
- Directions to entrance on Church Street: From Market Street, take a right onto Church Street, then immediate left into parking garage.
- Directions to entrance off N. Market & Market Space: From Market Street, make right on Market Space, behind Brewer’s Alley Restaurant, and turn right into garage.
- West Patrick Street Deck - located at 140 W. Patrickt St.
- Use for W. Patrick, S. Market and the 0-99 block of N. Market
- Directions to W. Patrick St. entrance: From Market Street – Make left on W. Patrick Street. Left into parking garage.
Surface Parking
- Free parking lots in Everedy Square/Shab Row
- Use for Everedy Square/Shab Row
- Directions to Everedy Square lots: From Market Street, take a right on Church Street. Make right on East Street, then left into parking lot alley just before awning for Danielle's Restaurant, under the Everedy archway
- Directions to Shab Row lots: From Market Street, take a right on Church Street. Make left on East Street. One parking lot is on the left.
- Municipal parking lots in Downtown Frederick:
- North Market Street Lot: located on N. Market St. and is accessible from the 300 block of N. Market St.
- MARC Station Lot: located behind the MARC Station, which is located on East St. The parking lot is accessible off of Wisner St.

How much does it cost?
Deck parking is $1 per hour during weekdays, with a maximum of $7 per day. Deck parking is $1 after 9PM on weekdays for the duration of park time. Deck parking is also $1 for vehicles entering parking decks after 4PM, regardless of when they leave. On Saturday, deck parking is $1 for the duration of park time; Sundays are FREE. When no cashier is on duty (Saturdays and weekdays after 9PM), you will need a one dollar bill to exit the parking deck. On street metered parking is $1 per hour.
