Late Night Movie Madness!

ArtNext is showing the definitive teen film "The Breakfast Club."  Written and directed by John Hughes, the storyline follows five teenagers (each representing a different clique in high school) as they spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realize that they are all deeper than their respective stereotypes. This collaborative installation consists of sewn and embellished paper torsos risting from the "earth" in rows. Carien Quiroga, whose background is in sculpture, uses natural and found objects. Ellen Hill's background is in two-dimensional media, with emphasis on paper pulp painting.
