Housed in the renovated Mountain Mill building, the Delaplaine
Visual Arts Education Center is a non-profit arts education facility,
featuring art instruction, exhibitions and special programs.
The center is a 30,000 square foot flagship of the arts. Artwork
by regional artists is for sale in the gift gallery. Items include
ceramic, paintings, prints, jewelry, woodworking and much more.
Prices range form $3 to $300. All art is created by Delaplaine

The Frederick Arts Council offers grants and support to local artist and art organizations as well as manages the Cultural Arts Center of Frederick County (CAC), which is a 14,000 square foot community center for the arts. The Cultural Arts Center is a county arts venue for actors, dancers, musicians and artists of every discipline where they can affordably work, rehearse, perform, teach classes and conduct workshops. Inside the facility is a 110 seat black box theatre, an art gallery, rehearsal hall, and dance studio. Handicapped accessible.

The Frederick Festival of the Arts is a juried, two-day art festival held the first weekend every June in Downtown Frederick. Barbara Fritchie House Museum

The museum is the reconstructed house of Barbara Fritchie, heroine
of John Greenleaf Whittier's poem from the Civil War. "Shoot
if you must, this old gray head, but spare your country's flag," she
said while leaning out an upstairs window. Visit the exterior year

The Roger Brooke Taney House interprets the property owned by
the former Frederick attorney and Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme
Court (1836-1864). The site, including the family’s living
quarters, a summer kitchen and slaves’ quarters, interprets
