              Saturday, October 13th, 8am - 9pm

                          Downtown Frederick

The Pink Ribbon Project event will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 8am to 9pm in Downtown Frederick.   This event includes activities to honor those in the fight against breast cancer, increase awareness, and raise funds for the FMH Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund. Come to Downtown Frederick and show your support for the cause!

  • Pink Ribbon Continental Breakfast 8am – 11am at the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center, 40 S. Carroll.  Morning will include a continental breakfast to promote breast cancer awareness and celebrate and honor those who have been affected featuring a slideshow presentation about Mary Sayer a local survivor and activist. $5 donation per person.
  • Educational Booths 11am – 4:30pm at the Square Corner (Market & Patrick Streets), Frederick Memorial Hospital, the Frederick County Health Department, Frederick County Commission for Women, and Experience Massage – specializing in massage techniques for cancer patients and survivors.
  • Support the cause by shopping and eating Throughout the day at participating downtown restaurants and shops.  Shops will donate a percentage of their day’s profit or the profit from pink products to the Frederick Memorial Hospital Hurwitz Breast Caner Fund.  Restaurants will offer Pink Drink specials with a percentage of profits going to the fund.

Accents at Shab Row , 112 N East St, Complimentary awareness bracelets imprinted with SURVIVOR, HOPE, FAITH, or STRENGTH for first 40 customers.  Also, awareness mints, bags, balloons, and more.  Portion of day's sales donated to fund

Classic Cigars & British Goodies , 153 N Market St, Tasting Luna de Luna pink wine in pink bottles, percentage of bottle sales donated to breast cancer research

Colonial Jewelers, 1 S Market St, Selling freshwater pearl bracelets with sterling silver breast cancer charms, 100% of proceeds donated

Cowboy Stuff, 9 W Patrick St, One free breast cancer awareness with purchase and 20% of days sales donated to fund

Hunting Creek Outfitters, 29 N Market St, Donating to “Casting for Recovery”, national support and education program for those fighting breast cancer.  Joined by the Chesapeake Women Anglers

Molly's Meanderings , 17 N Market St, Donating 10% of apparel sales to fund

The Muse, 19 N Market St, Kelcity Bag Trunk Show, 20% of each bag goes to FMH

 

O’Hair Salon & Spa, 6 E Church St, Percentage of sales from purchase of Bumble & Bumble Classic Hairspray, CHI Pink Flat Iron, and/or OPI Pink Nail Polish donated to fund

 

The Pari Spa, 14 W Patrick St, donating 10% of each pink manicure and/or pedicure

The Perfect Truffle, 221 N East (Frederick Cellars), Donating a percentage of each Pink Ribbon Truffle sold

Shambhala Bead Gallery, 47 E Patrick St , Donating 5% of sales during October and 10% of sales on Oct. 13th

 

Two Paw Up, 15 S Carroll St, Donating 10% of sales of any product containing pink to FMH Hurwitz fund and featuring products that promote breast cancer awareness.
