Begin your Independence Day early with The Great Frederick Float, Saturday, July 3rd from 5 - 8pm!  Enjoy children's activities, music, dancing, and A BOAT PARADE & CONTEST!!  Prizes to be awarded!  Click here to download Boat Application Form  Individuals, organizations, companies, or families can enter a non-motorized boat into the contest.  Decorate your boat in Red, White, and Blue and compete with your friends, neighbors, and the Downtown Frederick community!  Entry deadline is June 30, 2010.  Great fun for everyone! The Great Frederick Float entertaiment will include 9 Lives, Citizen's Brass Band, DJ Tyler Joyce, The Great Frederick Float Divas, and Jessica Bowers.

July First Saturday - Great American Main Street

Throughout Downtown Frederick

Celebrate Downtown Frederick's distinction as a Great American Main Street as named by the National Historic Trust for Preservation.  After visiting the Great Frederick Float, try your hand at old-fashioned game stations located througout downtown.  Live music, guest artists and exhibit openings complete the evening!
