Feeling a yen for culture? You’ll want to check out the many arts & entertainment venues in Downtown Frederick. The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Downtown Frederick a Great American Main Street in 2005 and one of the “Dozen Distinctive Destinations” in 2002—and we’ve got about a dozen art galleries adding to that distinctiveness. Museums, photography studios and theatres also contribute to our cultural flair. Downtown Frederick is a state designated Arts & Entertainment District with financial incentives for artists and art related renovations.
