Frederick City Market
- Every Saturday morning from 9am-12pm
Every Saturday this summer and autumn, local vendors are going to converge in Downtown Frederick to celebrate a simple miracle: farmers, as stewards of rural America, coming together to share a harvest that’s feeding local families. What will be the result? The market will create more viable regional economies; increased access to fresh, nutritious food; and stronger social networks that will help keep the community strong.
The Frederick City Market will begin Saturday June 16, 2012, and currently has 15 farmers and vendors selling a wide variety of products, including meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, honey, pottery, jewelry and more. Some of the vendors that will participate in the market include Whitmore Farm of Emmitsburg and Moxie Bakery & Cafe of Downtown Frederick.
In addition to quality food and art, the market will also have an area for performances including chef demonstrations, educational presentations as well as live music.
The market will be located on North Market Street between 3rd and 4th street on the old Carmack Jay parking lot.
